Unhappy Tried the regsvr32 fix, need help please

Browseul.dll and Shell32.dll couldn't be found. Having problems getting pages to load, mostly blank with error on page, or cannot be autoredirected, or page cannot be displayed, check your internet settings, etc. This has been happening for the past two weeks since I moved to Atlanta and signed up wtih comcast cable high speed. Never had this problem before. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

If you go to start/search can you find Browseui.dll & or shell32.dll?

You can try to download those two .dll's here:

    http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl....shtml?shell32

    http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dl...shtml?browseui

If that doesn't work & you have a Microsoft 2K disk you can:

    start/run sfc /scannow

This will replace all system files. You will need to insert your disk.

Also as you mention the problem coincided with Comcast I wouldn't hesitate to question them.

This worked to replace those two files, however that didn't solve the problems I am having. I still get the same screen on Yahoo, stating my browser won'd allow automatic redirect to a new URL, Click here. When I click here, the screen stays the same but there is a Done with errors on page message at the bottom. I have cleared hx, temp files, cache, reset and reset again security and privacy and scripting, etc in IE options, and nothing is working. Yahoo recognizes me, as does AOL but after inputting password, nothing happens except I either get the redirect screen or I get a blank screen, or at times I get the Page can't be displayed, check your internet settings. I am just so frustrated becuase I don't know what else to do. I thought the missing registry files might be the problem, but I guess that wasn't it. I did a complete PC check and repair using System Mechanic and that didn't do the trick either. Have run Avast and Adaware time and time again, and still am having the same problem. I did contact Comcast on several occasions and the only thing they suggested was to reinstall Macromedia Flash and Java Runtime, which I did. But still didn't help. I do appreciate your attention to my problems and keep hoping you can come up with a solution. Thanks again.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
I noticed in your profile that you use 2000. Do you have the latest Windows Updates?

Just as a test try turning off your Anti-Virus & or Firewall. Just to test!!!

Also just as a test try another browser: say Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

If both browser won't work than we can eliminate the browser as the problem.

I won't go into my opinion of Comcast but if both these browsers fail they (Comcast) need to start doing some work for you. You are the client! You are God! Definitly NOT them. Ask for a supervisor. If that doesn't help tell them you are switching to BellSouth. I highly recommend that anyway.
