Is there a way, when opening a link in a new window, to set the size that window will be, for example full size, becuase at the moment it just fills the top half of the scrren, its a bit annoying.
Anyone know how?
Try this:
Open IE then click on a link, drag the sides of the window to the size that you want. Don't use the maximise button, then close the first window. Subsequent windows should open in that size.![]()
Thats what I thought would work too, but its not making any difference, is there no other way?
Have you tried dragging it to the correct size then closing it with the file > exit button?
I've just tried that now, well it was File, Close on my version, I assume thats the same thing. Yet still it doesn't save the window size.Originally Posted by Jaynee
There is software available to do the job that I found in this thread.
Thanks for that, the software solves the problem.
Another way that should work (everything crossed) is to right click on the explorer icon, select Properties and then choose "Maximised" from the drop down list next to "Run". In theory all new IE windows should open maximised, but if it doesn't work, blame that nice (?) Mr Gates, not me. I only try to use the things.
You can use this trick on just about anything that opens from a shortcut.
