This problem is for a friends computer who is having trouble with his internet. He has just upgraded to Bt Broadband, This works ok and connects fine, the problem starts when he clicks on internet explorer. He keeps getting the message The requested URL could not be retrieved, The following error was encountered connection fail, The system returned no error. I have tried to delete internet explorer and re-install it but cannot seem to delete the program for some reason. he has windows xp professional running on his commputer and i now have no ideas as to what to do or where to go from here, you very clever people are now his only hope. Any help or suggestions on this matter would be very appreciated.

You can't delete I.E. but you can make an attempt to repair it.
