Hi, im having problems with one specific web page, its a messageboard similar to this one, i can get onto the main menu page of it but when i click on a thread to read it the page just doesnt load and remains empty. It shows the name of the page at the very top of the browser and says "done" at the bottom on the status bar but everything else is blank. It happens in both firefox and internet explore and was working fine until just now, and as far as i know i havent changed any settings. Anyone have any idea why those certain pages wont load?

Can't hurt to run this:

1. Quit all programs that are running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll and then click OK.
4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.

But it might be more likely a fault with the site. Have you tried pressing F5 to refresh?

Have you tried it on another computer?

Hi, i tried running that and it hasnt made any difference. Havent tried accessing the site on a different comp but i know other people who have been using it and had no problem, so it seems to be just me. Ive tried refreshing numerous times, both with f5 and ctrl f5. The only thing i can say now is that sometimes it looks like it is starting to load because the page changes colour from white to pink, but then it just stays in white with nothing on the page other then the headline at the top that says its actually on the page,i just dont see anything.

Slight update : ive now since managed to get into a forum and to read 1 thread, but i still cant read any others. I then went to a different site then back to this one and its not letting me read the thread i was 2 mins previous. Does it make a difference whether you are logged in or not?

The first time i clicked on those links the pages displayed as they should do, but then when i tried to click a further link on them pages the same problem occured, and now it does again when i click on them links, pages just seem to load when they want to.
It doesnt really seem to make a difference if im logged in or not, if i go to the site and it saves my password and im automatically logged in it it wont work, nor will it if i log out, the page goes blank when i try to log in again.
Could it be to do with cookies or my cache? Cause i was playing around with them just before the problem started, i deleted/emptied them cause i didnt think it would do any harm, but it might be coincidence

Doubt it's a cookie/cache issue as I had no problem navigating through the site and I've never been there before.

Do you remember how exactly you were playing around with cookies besides deleting?

Any chance that you could have blocked that site somehow?

Do you have a firewall? Any chance that it is set to block that sites cookies?

Yay its working again. I was cecking my friewall to see if i could find any reasons to why it might be blocking that site from loading. Eventually using the add on in the IE toolvar for norton firewall i changed the settings to allows ads and pop ups on the site and its worked fine ever since, although im sure it always used to have them blocked and i hadnt changed it recently so dont knowwhy it just stopped working. But its cool now so thanks for all the help
