Hello,
I'm looking for a way to set up a pc as a console for use by the public with limited access to a list of websites. It would be a pentium 4 with a broadband connection and a touch screen running Windows XP Pro and internet Explorer
Can anyone suggest a way to create a list of websites which can be accessed and exclude all others?
Ive looked at the Content Advisor part of Internet Explorer but it seems unclear. I wondr whether a bit of software can help.
many thanks

How to Configure Internet Explorer 5.x to Block Access to All But Approved Internet Sites

This article applies to version 6 also. Although it does not specify XP.
Also you should be able to do this by configuring your firewall.

I think the first article - if it works - should be all I need
Now....how can I configure Internet explorer to open full size with no controls....?
(the reason why I'm asking this is to see if I can configure a console for under £1000 when currently they sell for £3-4000, thereby saving a charity a lot of money)
cheers
