media player troubles
I try to watch media files through my internet explorer browser but get an error message. Never happened before I installed Media player 10.

Please post the exact error message, thanks.

Ok, It says, (Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and has to close, sorry for the inconvenience) and gives the option to send an error report. I tried that and did me no good. I have tried multiple browsers,Virus scans, registry fixes, active x fixes. I have rolled back to my original media player. I have commanded a check disk at bootup.I reset regsvr32.dll.I uninstalled and reinstalled windows media player 10. I have tried various settings with the internet options. Even when I try playing streaming media in the player itself I get the same crap, but instead of it saying Internet Explorer it says (Windows media has encountered a problem and will now close, sorry for the inconvenience). All my other players Quick time, Real player work fine with streaming media, however 90 percent of media out there needs windows media player. So on that note, I kindly reguest any input that could possibly lead to the conclusion of this problem.
Thanks

Problem solved, Turns out it was a theorica codec pack I had installed, I read another thread and mentioned unistalling a codec pack to prevent crashes in media player. I swear this is the only forum on the web that actually had the fix for my prob on the entire web. Very cool, you will be recieving a donation from me.
thanks
