Compaq Connections will open not open. Instead the drop down window tells me this. "Runner File Name (Compaq Connections.exe) lacks a '_' (the app id separator)" HELP! Thanx for your time. Herb Jones

trust me i had the same problem but i found got the cure from hp myself i was worrisd when they told me to delete compaq connections from add and remove programs thanking it would mess up my computer because it came from the factory with that on it. but i did it and my computer is super fast and i do not have that annoying pop up on start up. Runner File Name (Compaq Connections.exe) lacks a '_' (the app id separator) ! it is simple go to add & remove programs and simply remove compaq connections thats all you have to do. HP advised me that most anti virus and spyware programs recognize it as spyware and quarantines it. and it is also known as a part of backweb which compaq connections is part of backweb. same thang go's for HP just remove HP connections I assure you it will fix and speed it up!
