Hi i am new, but my cousin is having the same problem with his computer but his messenger is working OK and he is recieving "pings" from other websites, and his broadband is connected. He has no other means of connecting to the internet any advice on what to do.

Hi i am new, but my cousin is having the same problem with his computer, as many other people seem to be but his messenger is not working but he is recieving "pings" from other websites, and his broadband is connected. He has no other means of connecting to the internet but i am able to download anything for him if its able to be burn to a CD or put on a USB. Any advice on what to do would be amazing.

I have found out the answer to this problem, its a virus called lovgate and has now been all sorted!
