Mozilla Firefox error
For some reason, my Mozilla Firefox browser stopped working. I have both IE and MF installed/available on my PC, but I prefer to use MF. Anyway, when I attempt to open a MF browser window, this message pops up: "The program must allow a previous installation to complete. please restart." Even after I restart the PC, the message still pops up. What can I do to get my MF browser up and running again?

Hello,AlkS14 & Welcome
Well you have 2 options here
1)Uninstall MF then Reinstall it
2)Go to the program installation folder 'C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox' and delete the 'xpicleanup.exe' file. Make sure Firefox is not running when you do this. You should be able to start Firefox after that.
Will before you delete it make a backup of "xpicleanup.exe"

IT WORKED!!! Thank you so much for your help. You guys are the best!! Could you just give a quick rundown on what exactly I did? I did option #2, and I made a copy of xpicleanup.exe So what is it exactly that I just did?

Also, I left the xpicleanup.exe file in my recycle bin. What will happen if I restore it? Should I permanently delete it? The file "copy of xpicleanup.exe" is still in my Mozilla Firefox folder.

I had the same display error about partial downloading. I followed your thread message, but couldnt find that .exe file in Mozilla folder. So I uninstalled MF and reinstalled. Still no use.
My internet connection is working fine and IE is loading all pages.
Please help me soon. I am not very comfortable using IE.
Thank you guys.

Here are some other open source alternatives to IE also that you can use till you figure out what went wrong with FF. I don't run Windows so this is all I can do for ya.
