    Internet explorer won't launch

    I'm running Win XP, sp2, mostly using firefox now and have found that I can't launch IE --either from the desktop icon or IE folder in program files --I can launch using Windows update and it works fine --any ideas appreciated

    How do you open it via Windows Update?

    I've never seen that

    Anyway: if you have a full version XP CD run sfc /scannow

    It is Microsoft's first line suggestion for repairing I.E.
