how do i restore items in registry like typed urls?
-
I accidently deleted something on registry, i don't know if it is important.
i was sick of everytime i type in a website that the address bar would go all down the page so i wanted to delete all the urls. But instead of doing that i deleted the whole typed urls category and i want to know is it important and if it is how can i restore it? thanks!

Hello,misscalvert18 & Welcome
Hmm am i wrong here or are you talking about URLs you
type in the address bar to do a Search or you click go
if so all they are is Temp files not at all hard to clean
is this what you are saying if so i don't get why
you think going in to the Registry to do this
or did you have some problem before that

i wanted to delete all the stupid urls of evrything people go on to and someone told me go to internet explorer in registry and click typed urls, and then on the right will be all the urls and u can delete them. but i didnt delete the urls i deleted the whole category under internet explorer called "typed urls". so is this bad or does it really matter, but i would like to restore that category so i can delete the urls.

You can restore the entire registry but not just one bit of it as you didn't back up the small part of the registry that you deleted before you deleted it. However, even easier than what you're asking about doing is simply to create the folder again from scratch - that way, it won't have the URL entries so you won't need to delete them individually.
All that you need to do is to go back into the registry editor, find the key (or "folder") that is at the next level in the tree above the "Typed URLs" key that you deleted. Right-click it and select New > Key.
I would recommend making a backup before making any changes to the registry. You can do this from the Registry menu in the registry editor.
