Internet explorer cannot open page

    Internet explorer cannot open page

    Microsoft Internet explorer cannot open any web page. I suspect I have a virus. Cannot even install an anti virus. Even trying to open a folder containing Norton anti virus (not installed), it refuses.
    I have Windows XP. Can anyone help me.

    Have you tried Safe Mode?

    Do you have an XP CD or is this an OEM install?

    If you have your CD you can try:

    start/run/sfc /scannow
