Hi!

This is my first post( hopefully the first of many), and I need some advice. I bought a computer that had Norton IS/ AV 2004 preinstalled, like most people I decided to keep the app running until the subscription ran out. NIS expired last month, with NAV good until July. Now I recieve an error (LU1844) that will not allow live update to complete, so I decide to nuke this baby. Guess What? NIS won't uninstall! It says that I have to have an account w/ NIS admin rights to uninstall, and since my Norton disk is corrupted I have no way to delete this app!

I'm already aware of the horror stories regarding this product, so I'm not neccessarily looking for commiseration. What I need is a solution to get this garbage off my machine. Any words of wisdom out there?
