    Proxy

    Hi,

I am new to this site so I hope I have posted this in the correct forum !

I have recently installed Ghostsurf 2.1 but when I try to use it via IE I get the following message:-

    Cache Error!
An error of type 400 occurred: Bad Request. Unknown URL type.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Generated by tinyproxy (1.5.3)

I have e-mailed the guys at Ghostsurf(Tenebril Inc.) and got a quick reply. They tell me tinyproxy is another proxy program which is causing the problem. However I have no knowledge of ever having installed this and cannot find anything with that name on my pc. Does anyone know if it comes with another package? I use AOL as my ISP - is this something they use?

I would be very grateful for any help.

    Thank you in advance.

Actually just noticed something else strange.

If I try to enter any site from IE when I haven't got Ghostsurf running I just get a blank page with "Cannot find server".

I must have some settings wrong somewhere maybe!!!

Why are you running a proxy?

This could be a browser hijacking...... post a hijackthis log on the appropriate board.

    I didn't know I was running a proxy !!!

Got Ghostsurf as a freebie on a computer mag and thought I would try it.

I will post a log on the appropriate forum.

    Thanks
