    Damned Tiscali

    WHy why why has tiscai gone down. it went down for an hour thursday and its still not back, im using dial up at the moment i needed broadband to get open office and finish my presentation by tmoz,

    ah well id beter be off as i am in newport at 5am

    I couldn't find any info on their site but the ISP's always seem to keep service status hidden away in a member's area. Have you phoned their helpline?

    it is a one off error, which only seems to be me. i havent hears anyone else moan about it,they are going to re-imburse my loss of internet, and my mum will phone tmoz trying to get money back for the dial up used

    even when ISP'S make it easy to see the server status it always says that nothing is wrong my 1st ISP AOHELL would have problems but they would say nothing is wrong even if you phoned them it was always the phone line at fault. loved it when they blamed BT and i said there is nothing wrong with the BT line because it is connected to an NTHELL line

    How long have you been with tiscali? I would phone and threaten to end your contract....even if you haven't been with them for longer than the specified duration. State that they have not resolved you problem and they have had enough time to do it in. Threaten them with the ISP Ombudsman.......if there is such a thing.

    been with them for over a year. i have done that it didnt shift them, it only worked when we said we'd phone otelo and ofcom, theyve given me 1.1mbps now
    im lovin it
