I have recently re-installed Firefox due to a system crash, and now whenever | enter text into the google search bar on my homepage, a little drop-down field appears with a number of recent searches that have been carried out. I know that there is a way to prevent this from happening, but I can't seem to find the cure in the FF Help window. Can someone kindly assist?

Tools > options > privacy > saved form information


although you might be seeing the results of google rather than firefox

Google toolbar history:
Click on small triangle next to word google
Click on clear history or recent history.
