where are you viewing NYTimes? clicking a bookmark? or is another page open?
is it only NYTimes links? did it ever work? did it work in IE?
have you a subscription for NYTimes?
where/ what is the instruction to copy link? & what exactly opens from microsoft.com?

Thanks for rje quick respose. Forget the NYTimes. I have disocvered that I am unable to use links (urls) in Thunderbird, I am sent to Microsoft.com regardless of the url. It's a problem with Thunderbird. Is it a virus/worm etc? Bruce

Sorry for more questions but:
Just thunderbird (e-mail)? or the firefox browser in general?
Did it ever work right or has it always been like this?
Do links work with Internet Explorer? (just to check if it's the browser or something else)
If you want to post a HiJackThis log please follow all of Owen's instructions HERE once you have completed that post your log on the Spyware, Adware and Viruses board.

The instances of address bar failing to work properly appear to restricted to Thunderbird alone. Internet exploer is working ok. Yes it was working ok until a couple of weeks ago. Ihave already downloaded Hijack This so I'll go there. Thanks, Bruce
