HOw do you keep IE from popping up all the time with ads. It's very annoying and something that just started happening within the past few months I noticed. I don't even use IE, because of the infections it can get. What do I do?

Are you saying IE opens by itself? Or you get pop-ups when you do use it?

What are these pop ups? Adds? Do they all look the same?

What is your Operating System? If XP, do you have SP2? If not, do you have a firewall?

Yes, most are ads and they basically look the same. It's just annoying.

Yes, I have WinXP, but not interested in the problems new service packs can give. I don't have a firewall, but I will try the one you suggested. Thank you.
