    Need Some Help Please

    Goodevening you all,

How are you doing ?? As for me, pretty good. Have installed SP2 recently and I have a little problem here. Messenger ( MSN ) starts when Windows starts up. I have unchecked the options in Messenger, but it won't work. I don't want MSN to start when windows start, but when I want him to start !

Does anybody knows what I can do about it?

    Hugsssss Miranda from the Netherlands

This is what we did, but msn keeps showing up whenever I start windows

It's the old 4.7 version which shows up everytime. I have also installed msn 7 and this one doesn't start when windows starts. It's really annoying.

    4.7 is bundled with XP.
If you just want to stop Windows Messenger 4.7 from Auto-Starting

Simply delete the following Registry Key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run\MSMSGS

In order to remove it from your system if you so choose follow the instructions under Messenger (the M section of kelly's korner abc):
