I have used both browsers, and i prefer Firefox by far, every one i have recomended firefox to has agreed.
with IE (internet explorer), i found i was having several virii getting on my system, even though my anti virus is constanly updated,
since i have installed firefox i have not had this problem, nor have the people i have recomended,
but i must say, its your choice, as firefox is not for every ones likings. personally now im waiting for the roumoured Gbrowser
i hope this has been of help

Firefox for me anyday, faster and has more security features.

ive had IE6, opera and Firefox and i have to say that i think that firefox is better, although im not as "teched" up as these people i have seen some advantages!
the first being that it does SEEM quicker! i dont know how or why, but it does
the next advantage are the ability to TAB pages, which mean you dont have to keep swapping through windows and starting new ones.
and from what ive heard its less likely to get viruses or something and thats what it seems like to me.
anyway, id download it, just to try it out, you can always delete it if you dont like it!
PS make sure you get the one for your country, cuz the built in search engines will be for that country (i stupidly downloaded the us one, so i always get google .COM and cant change it)

hey im posting this through firefox
after all that all of you said i decided to get it , and so far im pleased
i like the way its fairly simple and isnt to anything and is very similar to IE , not really sure about pop up blocker yet but il soon see , seems fast but not faster than IE
anyway still good and thanks for all your help!

Quick tip to help rendering.
open up a tab and enter location about:config
then find these settings :
1.) network.http.pipelining
2.) network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
3.) network.http.proxy.pipelining
1 & 3 set to True
2Set to 32
Should render pages quicker!
