I have had a lot of experiance with computers before software and hard ware problems, but this is my first fresh build, and first build problem

I just got done peiceing together the Inards of computer its specs so far are as follows:


GIGABYTE GA-8TRS300M ATI 9100 IGP chipset (Radeon 9200 graphics core)
Intel Pentium 4/ 2.4A GHz 533MHz FSB, Prescott Core, 1MB L2 Cache
Dual Western Digital 80 GB 7200 HD
Rosewill R700N 17" LCD Monitor w/ Speakers
Optorite Black IDE/ATAPI 52X32X52 CD-RW Drive
Dual 512 DDR PC-3200 Ram
400 Watt Power Supply

And the problem is That when i go to fire the computer up,the powersupply kicks on, the cd drive comes up, the hard drive spins up, the cpu fan spins away, yet there is no out put on the monitor, except for the "no signal" message. i am missing a step? yes the hard drives are fresh outa the box, but shouldn't i be getting the Bios information? can anybody think of what could be wrong? yes the monitor works, i switched it with an older computer of mine and it works.

could the processor or motherboard be shot? any help would be great and if i can answer any questions that might get me an answer, i'd be more than happy to answer

maybe its a video card problem, is it secure?

as secure as you can get, its intergrated with the board

I figured out what was wrong, the motherboard's socket for the chip was damaged
