    Memory? :-|

I just ordered a DDR ram (512mb) and i currently have a 256mb pc133 ram so this is how im going to install it (yes the memory is compatable with my mobo and i have the neccessiary req)

    1) Take out old PC133 ram from the single black slot
2)Put in new ddr ram in one of the two purple slots, the black slot is next to it
    3) here is my question, do i take out my old ram or leave it there (note: my old is a pc133 sdram and my new one is 2100 something ddr ram)

i think you can leave it there but your new memory will clock down to match the old 1. I arn't 100% sure though.

If your motherboard allows you to use both types at once (you'll have to check the manual and see what it says), then you should find that they are both the same speed anyway - I think I'm right in saying that PC2100 DDR RAM is actually 133MHz .... just like your PC133 SDRAM (don't ask me why they created a different numbering method - I've no idea!).
