Geforce 5200FX personal cinema driver issue

    Hi,

I've recently updated my graphics card with the latest drivers from MSI's website. However, I've noticed that on the Windows XP desktop the mouse pointer doesn't move as smoothly as it previously did and seems to delay/jitter slightly across the screen. This is a bit annoying because I didn't have this problem with the older driver, but this new driver gives slightly better performance when playing games. I've tried updating the motherboard drivers too but this made no difference. Thought maybe it was something to do with the refresh rate? I tried changing them but the monitor doesn't like anything higher/lower than 60Hz. I've listed my PC specs below, any help would be appreciated.

    A7N8X Deluxe motherboard (nforce2)
    Athlon XP 2700
    512MB RAM
Sharp 17" TFT (analogue connection only)
MSI GeForce 5200 FX personal cinema (128MB)

Have you installed the correct drivers for the TFT monitor or is it just using the default Windows drivers for 'Default monitor' or 'Plug n Play monitor' ? The thing that's making me ask that is that I would have expected that you have been able to get a much higher refresh rate than 60Hz but this is often all you can get if you are using the default Windows drivers. I've got quite a few 17" TFTs at the office that are all running 1280x1024 resolution at 85Hz with "cheap 'n' cheerful" standard Intel on-board graphics.

I have the correct drivers installed. I tried to increase the monitor refresh rate from 60Hz to 70Hz but then the screen becomes blurred and shifted toward the left slightly. I don't even have the option to put it higher than 72Hz under the compatible refresh rates.
