Yes, this is possible if you know where to get a crack. I can understand why there are legitimate reasons for doing this - I use my own kind of "no CD crack" when installing (legally licenced) copies of Microsoft Autoroute at the office because it's a pain in the a*** having to give each of the users the £40 CD and expecting them not to lose it !

I have found a crack and it works fine, but I still need help applying it to a CD on the First CD of the game...any ideas, I am using Nero 5 software.

Can't you just copy the contents of CD1 and the crack file onto a blank CD? Then install the game and run the crack for it to work without needing the CD?

okay, the sims 2 has 4 CD's right?...right! What I wanna do is put the crack on to one of thoes CD's not another one, is this possible? iam using alcohol 120% Trial to back it up.
Thanks

No, you can't usually add another file onto a CD issued by a software manufacturer as they "close" the whole CD, rather than just closing the session. The file allocation table on the CD will report that there's no free space anywhere on the disc for you to copy the crack file onto.

Okay, thanks for your help DJ, I'll just have to put it on a seperate CD, thanks again, you can lock this forum when ready.
