Oh dear
No picture whatsoever? Any power light on the monitor - green or amber?
Does the PC emit any beeps from the internal speaker? This is a diagnostic code to tell us what's wrong. It will be a series of short or long beeps, e.g. short, short, long .... pause ...... short, short, long. If it's not beeping at all, did it used to beep once just a couple of seconds after you switched it on each time?

The monitor just stays on the amber light. No beeps ive only had the motherboard for a couple of months, it didnt beep when you started it. the pc comes on just no picture, i did put a old graphics card in there which has been left in its box for a couple of years.

If you disconnect the monitor signal lead from the graphics card and carefully inspect the pins in the plug, are any bent or broken?

nope, i tried with my my brothers monitor also, on his it just says no signal being received. Could i just buy a new graphics card?

Sorry for the delay in replying - I did respond a couple of days ago but it doesn't appear to have saved my comments
You could buy a new graphics card but didn't you say you've already tried a different one?
Can you check that the internal system speaker is connected to the motherboard properly? If we can hear a beep code, that is likely to tell us whether the problem is with the graphics card or something else - you may experience similar problems if there is an issue with the processor or memory as well.

Ive tried a diffrent monitor but not graphics card. i checked the speaker and its connected right but still no beeps

You could try a new graphics card then but the system would normally beep if it was trying to indicate a problem with the graphics card.
Perhaps you could just re-connect the system speaker round the other way - I've often been convinced that I've connected it right, only to find that the labelling / diagram was confusing and, in fact, the 2-pin plug needed to be turned round the other way. Or do you have the speaker lead plugged into a block connector with other leads so that it's always in the right position?

When i checked earlier i turned around and tried it the other way too. Should i take it to get looked at? Before buying a new graphics card.

If you can take it somewhere that will do a free check on it by quickly sticking in a new graphics card so that you can see it working, that might be better for you than buying a new card when you aren't sure. Be aware though that getting a shop to test it for free might mean that you're committed to getting them to fit a new graphics card at over-the-odds prices if they prove that that's the problem.
