    Talking Phoenix Error Codes

    Hey,
I had this laptop for a while its a Toshiba Tecra A6.

I reformatted it a few times and after of one of them, whenever I rebooted it after the prompt to press F2 or F12 it does 2 short beeps and displays this error message:

    Phoenix TrustedCore(tm) NB
    Copyright 1985-2005 Phoenix Technologies Ltd
    All Rights Reserved

    HAQAA BIOS Version v3.00
    Mouse Initialized
    ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI in slot 06
    Bus: 05, Device: 06, Function: 00
    ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI Serial Bus Controller in slot 06
    Bus: 05, Device: 06, Function: 01
    ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI Mass Storage Controller in slot 06
    Bus: 05, Device: 06, Function: 02
    ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI in slot 06
    Bus: 05, Device: 06, Function: 03

Press <F1> to Resume, Press <F2> to Enter Setup

I've checked the error codes for Phoenix BIOS but none match the 2 short beeps.

Also whenever I press F1 to resume and it asks me what I want to do (Boot into safe mode or whatever), i cant press any button on my keyboard because it freezes up the laptop and i cant do anything with it after that, iI have to force it to shutdown and then boot it up again. So instead I just wait till the timer finishes and it choose the already selected option.
I can log in in fine, its just i tired to install Ubuntu Server Edition and when it asked for what language, I pressed Enter for English and it froze which was annoying.

I'm guessing it's a hardware issue, but then again I'm not sure.

    Thanks

It seems to be suggesting there is a problem with the card slot, or a card in the slot.

Have you tried a full factory restore?

Ermmm No, i don't have a disc for a factory reset, and I can't reinstall any operating system because if I press a button after I press F1 it freezes the computer, I have to wait till it prompts me for my password.

I looked in my device manager and a few of them did not have and drivers like the mass storage controller, and some other bits.
