Computer's USB driver refuse to accept new printer
Hello there. I am having a problem with the installation of my new Kodak C315 printer.
When installing the printer, everything seems to work fine until I connect to my computer's USB port(s). At that point, I get a message that the computer is able to read the printer, but then I get an error message right after that which refers to the USB port(s). Once again, this is a brand new printer - I bought it on Dec. 27th -, but I think the issue here is with my computer and its USB ports. The error message I get is as follows:
There was a problem installing this hardware:
Eastman Kodak Company KODAK ESP C315 AiO
An error occurred during the installation of this device
The environment specified is invalid
If it helps, I spent several hours in a live chat with representatives of Kodak's tech support, who tried various methods of reinstalling the printer software. However, it was to no avail, despite the fact that they told me everything would work after I restarted my computer (it didn't).
Would there be anyone here would be able to help me out? If so, I await your reply. Thanks in advance.

I think I would try to install that printer on another computer and see what happens.
Short of that, I would (with printer disconnected) uninstall all the printer drivers and reboot. Make sure you can plug other devices into the USB ports and use them successfully, then attempt to reinstall the printer again. If no luck, take it back and get a different printer. And I would not try to buy the cheapest printer you can find - you tend to get what you paid for. Since you are looking for an AIO device, note Consumer Reports, December 2011, recommended the following as "Best Buys":
Dell P713w - $150
HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A A910a - $180
Lexmark Prospect Pro205 - $100
