When I insert a cd into the player it won't read it.I have to go to windows media player to get it started.I am due to change my service provider shortly and will need the player to work so that i can download etc.Any ideas as to what the problem is!!
Unfortunately, you failed to tell us what version of Windows you are using. So I recommend you plug into your search engine the following:
CD autoplay settings Windows X...replacing X with your version of Windows. For example, if you have Windows 7 usecd autoplay settings Windows 7
Hi...I have Windows Vista.....
Okay, then
CD autoplay settings Vista
Hiya....me again!!!......I have done as suggested with no joy.Can it be something to do with Adobe flash?I have tried to load Adobe but get an error 1935 message during installation. This is what it says!!!!.....'policy.8.0 Microsoft.VC80,CRT,version="8.0.50727.163" type=2win32-policy",public key token="1fc8b369ale18e36",processor architecture="x86".And if you can make sense of that I'll be impressed!!!!
Just re-reading your opening post - why would you need your CD player to work so you can download?
If me, I would uninstall the driver to the CD player then reboot to have Windows resintall it. Then make sure the autoplay settings are correct.
You might also use the Adobe FlashPlayer Uninstaller to totally remove FlashPlayer then reinstall the latest version from here.
