Hi guys,

I not sure if this is a hardware issue or software issue but im leaning more with hardware.

I have a LG M1962D connected to my PC with Windows Vista and everytime i am watching something in fullscreen be it with VLC or WMP, periodically the screen blacks out like it has lost its connection. However, audio is still there but video is gone until the screen brings it back. I have had the screen for about over a year and it has the been happening for the past six months but i only find time now to post it.

Could it be like a screen saver sort of thing? I never move the mouse or touch the keyboard, maybe the screen just blacks out due to this? I dont know...

Any thoughts?

Not sure what you mean. Video is restored by itself? How long does the blackout last?

Its like its changed its source to something else but finds the signal back on rgb and shows it...

It could be a problem with the monitor and the graphics solution (card or integrated) syncing up with the assigned resolution. I would swap with another monitor and see what happens. If the problem stays with the computer, you know the problem is in the computer. If your monitor does the same on another computer, you know the problem is with your monitor.
