Thumbs down CMOS Settings Wrong Error

    Hi guys and gals,

I am a computer user not a fixer.

I have had the message 'CMOS Settings Wrong' as well.

I have replcaed the 2032 battery but I cannot get access to the F1/F2/F11/etc... functions as they seem to do nothing. Would the fact I am using a cordless keyboard have any effect?

Yes - quite often, cordless keyboards don't actually 'start up' until Windows is loading.

Dastardly, I moved the above to a new thread as your post was a reply was to a year old thread.

I agree with DJNafey. Because wireless keyboards require special drivers, and since special drivers are not loaded until Windows boots, it is often necessary to use a wired keyboard when troubleshooting and doing maintenance.
