Dell XPS M1530- Split Image
My computer recently locked up when I attempted to run a program. I did a hard restart and now have a split imaged/mirrored screen. I tried to go in display settings and adjust them, however it won't let me change anything (resolution wise). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

To add, I'm operating on Windows Vista and NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT. Checking my drivers, it says my display adapter has stopped working. I tried going back to a restore point, disabling & then enabling the driver, with no change.

Go to nvidia's website and download the most recent drivers. You will need to know if you have the 32 or 64 bit drivers (see how). Once you've downloaded the correct drivers (see my screenshot below to know what to put in the fields and appropriately selecting your version of vista) under device manager right click on your adapter and select uninstall. Run driversweeper to complete removal, and then install the newest drivers that you just downloaded. Let us know if this helped.screen-capture.jpg
