bought a inport hotwire to download my tapes to my gateway LX6810 desktop plugged it into my stereo and then into a usb port on my computer and it shut down will not reboot when i check it inside i noticed the cpu and the power supply fans run all the time but nothing elseneed help

This is the XP forum. Have you "reloaded" Windows XP as opposed to Vista? Different drivers/software apply to different OS's.
Does the RCA adapter (inport hotwire) got it's own power adapter that need to connect to the wall main power first before connecting to the computer?
Seems to me, the RCA adapter has shorted something on your desktop computer.
Maybe we can try the following simple step to clear the CMOs and see if we can get your computer boot up again:
unplug the power cord to the computer, pressing down the power button over 20 seconds do not let go.
This can discharge and reset the computer.

hi. my pc t9106 wont boot. it stats then it will show on screen win.failed to start. hardware or software change might caused it . and after that it will attempt to restart again then it will show a blank screen.what will be the solusion

hi every one, help!!! my emachine 220,2.5 GHz intel celeron processor. but my computer wont boot up. it shut down automatically,and now when i switch the machine it gives out an indicating orange light at the harddisk symbol in front on the machine.so i thought it was the harddisk and i replaced it but it still giving the same problem
