New laptop screen flashing
I broke my old screen on my laptop and in a bid to save money decided to fit a new one myself. The screen is exactly the same as the old one. I fitted the screen but when i turned it on it flashes yellow and black. The screen itself is working as i can see it loading behind the yellow. The old screen when it was broken wasn't flashing and was acting normal apart from the crack in it. I dont know if i didn't put lcd wire back in correctly, even though it seem fine, or if i need another replacement part.

Sounds like the screen cable is lose or damaged, was it deffinatly the old screen that was broken? I've done allot of jobs where people have dropped their laptop and thought the screen has been damaged where infact its the screen cable.
You should take the screen off again make sure cable is correctly connected and try it again, but try it before you put it back together. Also if the problem persists move the cable around all along the length of it and see if the screen flickers more when its being moved.

The screen was definitely broken because it had a crack in it and i could hear it cracking more when i touched it. I will try moving the cable around again though to see if it works. Thanks
