Hello all:
I've had a Logitech S510 Wireless keyboard and mouse combo for a few years now and am starting to have some trouble with it. Originally the problem happened rarely, but now it's becoming a nearly daily issue.

First, the mouse will sometimes not respond to movement, or, as I move it, it will "exaggerate" and overcompensate for my movement. Obviously I re-establish the wireless connection, going as far as disconnecting the dongle and plugging it back in. Also when I click on something, it will sometimes not respond. Even stranger is that if I click on a button on a website, it will sometimes act as though I'm trying to "move" the button, showing a "ghost" copy of the button, and won't do anything until I hit ESC and try again. Often it will take several clicks just for it to go through. (I wind up clicking harder and harder, but we all know that's as effective as pressing an elevator button repeatedly). I've replaced the batteries more than once and have given the whole thing a good cleaning, even using a very soft camel-hair brush to dust of the optical sensor. I've also ruled out the surface that use to mouse on.

As far as the keyboard is concerned, it will sometimes not respond to my keystrokes, and occasionally ignores any keypresses to the numpad (yes, I've checked the NumLock). Also with this I often have to "reconnect" the keyboard to the dongle and have to go through the process of making the connection secure (a feature of the SetPoint software).

I've made sure that I have the latest drivers and latest SetPoint software. The dongle is about a foot away from the keyboard and about 18 inches from the mouse. No other wireless devices are in the vicinity.

Does anyone have any idea as to what's going on? Anyone else had/seen this problem? I really don't think this is a matter of the set dying, it's not nearly old enough for that; and plus I can't afford a new set.

Any help/suggestions/ideas are very much appreciated!
