Hello,

I'm on a Sony Vaio FW laptop, running Windows 7 64 bit, and am having some trouble with my Expresscard slot. I use the slot mainly to capture video from my Wii so that I can play it on my laptop screen rather than using a TV. This has worked great until recently - now, the video and audio are choppy, and cut in and out. I have tried on multiple other computers and it works fine, so I know it's something wrong with my computer specifically. In addition, I created a new partition on my hard drive and installed Win7 32 bit, and it also didn't work, which makes me quite certain it's not an issue with drivers or my Windows installation either.

So I've basically concluded the slot is defective... the only thing is, though, it still works perfectly for everything else I use it for. I have a usb 3 card that still works perfectly, for example. So I guess I'm asking, is there any way I can test whether the card is functioning properly or not? Like diagnostics of some sort?
