built new comp. runs and when i get to where i hit delete for my BIOS it crashes
title says it all. i have researched everything i can do and i have all wiring correct. i bought a tower with a Power Supply. it said 480 on the site but on the unit itself 480 is max and 330 is normal. my motherboard takes 325 as it is. i have unplugged everything that is not a necessity to get into my BIOS but still the same result. with it plugged it is still the same result. did i just receive a faulty motherboard?

No way your motherboard consumes 325 watts by itself. A motherboard draws very little power compared to many CPUs and GPUs. But even so, running the BIOS Setup Menu is about the least demanding task you can ask of a computer/power supply. Note that many retailers toss in a cheap power supply to make the case sale. You must ensure your PSU is rated to handle the demands of your computer, including the graphics solution - even if it means you keep the PSU that came with case as a spare, and buy a new PSU.
With brand new builds, the first thing I aways suspect is an extra standoff or foreign object under the motherboard. Since all cases are designed to support 1000s of motherboards, and since there is no standard for the number of mounting holes in a motherboard, there typically are many more case mounting holes than motherboard mounting holes. You need to verify you do not have an extra standoff under the board. There should only be a standoff where there is a corresponding motherboard mounting hole.
Make sure you have all the necessary power connections. Most current motherboard take at least two - the big 20/24 pin, and a 4 or 8 pin.
After verifying standoffs and power. You might try resetting the BIOS (unplugging the computer from the wall, and pulling the battery for 15 seconds or so - or moving the reset jumper as per your manual). And trying one stick of RAM at a times too.
