my mother board is asus p5g-mx 0404.the problem is that i am unable to use the frontpannel connectors for microphone and headphones.i opened my cpu and i noticed that there is no connection to the frontpanel connectors.could u please help me out how to enable the front panel connectors i.e.,how to make the connections to enable the front panel connectors........................

Sure there is. Did you look in your manual? If you don't have a manual, you can download it from ASUS. On page 1-30 of the English manual it clearly shows the Front Panel audio connector, labeled AAFP, is in the corner, below the expansion slots.
