Post Five keys not working on my keyboard... Very annoying, please help!

    I'm on Windows 7.

Dell Studio XPS 16 laptop computer.

Just recently, couldn't pinpoint when, the following keys on my laptop have stopped working:

    Left Ctrl, 5(%), 6(^), -(_), =(+)

Five keys in total, obviously just typed them with the on screen keyboard.

This is beyond frustrating and any help anyone could give me would be much appreciated.

I don't know if its a hardware or software problem, seems wierd the odd keys.

How does one go about physically replacing the actual keys if that is the case?

    Thanks again for any help.

Might be that your keyboard settings have changed by some strange reason (this can accidently be done by pressing a key combination which I don't remember at the time)

Go here: Control Panel>Clock, Language, and Region>Change Keyboards or other input methods>Change Keyboards

And check if everything looks as it should

Had a check, it all looks normal.

It just seems odd, its not as if the keys are close together, like something hit them and broke them, they are spaced out, bottom left, middle top, top right.

    Hmmmm..... I'm stumped here.

Thanks for trying to help though.
