optiplex 755 SFF In 520 SFF Case - Front Panel Not Detected
everything seems to be in order but for some reason it doesnt recognize the front panel of the comp, power button usbs or audio jacks, any ideas? also swapped in a 755 power supply this is SFF btw

Since none of those connections or buttons work, it sounds like someone did not connect the front panel wires. The HD and power LEDs, reset button, and power button go to the front panel I/O header on the motherboard. The USB goes to the USB header. And the audio to a third. I can think of no single common thing that would affect all 3 - except for not connecting the wires.

well i do know that dell uses proprietary connectors, could it be the fact that it is a higher model board into a lower model case? the power light does come on, on the front panel but i get the system beep saying front panel not detected and it prompts me to hit f1 to continue, i just took everything apart and went over my connections just to be sure and they are all snuggly connected. so im pretty much at a loss for what else the issue could be, i appreciate your response

Most case front panel wire are individual, not in a single connector. And so no matter how the I/O port on the mother is configured the individual wires allow that. If yours is a single connection, I don't have any advice, except get a new case.
