flashdrive problem
I use a 2Gb Sandisk Cruzer micro for transfering data form my home offline computer to my office computer. Both computers work on WinXP.
Yesterday I copied some .com and .pdf files into the flash drive (about 1Mb) but today instead the files I found a long list of folders with various numerical names and which couldn’t be opened or deleted. (I checked yesterday the data after copying to the Cruzer, and they were OK)
Now I tried to transfer the files to my computer but the transferred folders show as empty.
Finally I formatted the flash drive and now it seems OK but now I am afraid that this can repeat.
I couldn’t reach any support facility in Scandisk to ask them about the case and now I am afraid to use the flash drive again.
What can be the problem and where any help and explanation can be reached.
please advise
Thanks

Hi friend
Firsthand, i would recommend installing the original chipset drivers from Intel/Gateway. Delete the USB stuff in the Device Manager first, reboot and let your OS install new drivers.
Thanks,
James
