Not possible to increase RAM on laptop? Belarc details included.
I've recently taken my lap top (which I'm using now to post this) into a repair shop to try and get the memory increased (currently I've only got 512MB RAM) but the guy at the shop has told me that he's tried a few different types of RAM but my pc won't take any more memory. Should I just reinstall XP rather than trying to run W7 Ultimate which I've just installed and it's slowed the computer down to a crawl although I can still use it to some degree. Is this common (i.e. not being able to increase the RAM) or has the repair shop guy got it wrong is what I'm asking?
Can anyone tell me if it is in fact possible to at least double or triple the size of the memory on this pc please?

Since the lap top is an Elonex I've ended being directed to the Elonex repair site (elonexparts.com/codelist) where I've filled in an online troubleshooter form with my computer's details and a question to the tech team asking if it is possible to upgrade the memory. Once I receive a reply I'll post up the answer here.
Thanks for any further advice about this
