Hi, I have been trying to backup my Hard drive C: onto an external backup disk drive using a program called acronis now. I have successfully used this program before on my other computer. The external disk drive has plenty of free space.

The acronis program displays error messages saying it failed to read from disk - "possible bad sectors".

Today I had a blue screen on two occasions.

I am concerned about loosing my data, emails, media files.

Am I able to fix the bad sector problem? I'm guessing that if I do the external drive will be able to make a mirror image of my hard drive.

Thanks for your help in advance

Terry
