PC shutting down during booting.
I have a Dell P3 PC with 2 hard drives in it. The power supply blew due to shipping the PC abroad (maybe movement, etc) I had it replaced today ,and started the PC. It booted all the way to the desk top and shut down. I repeated it 9 times. I then took out the hard drive and put it in another PC and it did the same thing in that PC. I have no idea what the problem could be.

If you put the hard drive in a completely different pc (with no other overlapping parts) and you know for a fact that the other computer is good, then it is either your installation of windows and/or your hard drive. What is your operating system? Lets be precise: did it turn off, freeze, restart, or blue screen? If it blue screened what was the error message? If it reset hit F8 until you get the advanced boot menu, use the arrows to select disable automatic restart, and then boot into it. What is the resulting blue screen? If it froze, hit F8 to get the advanced boot menu and select safe mode. What is the last file listed if it freezes again? Also try Last known good configuration. If you can successfully boot up in safe mode hit control [ctrl] and r at the same time and type msconfig into the run box. Select the boot.ini [or boot] tab, and check /SOS or [OS Boot Information] and then restart in normal mode. What is the last file listed?

Hi Friend,
It's probably the power button on the front of the case that's got something to do with it. Or the pins for the power button on the motherboard. Try pulling out the wires for the power button and putting them back on the pins. It may fix it.
Thanks,
James
