Hello,
My computer video stop working, after i reseated the ram it still had no video. Then i noticed there were no post or beep codes however the hard drive, cpu and power supply fans turn when i hit the power button.

So I assumed the processor is fried, before i buy this processor i just need a second opinion that this is the proper processor for the HP Pavilion a6600f desktop.

Yes that appears to be the correct processor according to the tech specs on the HP site, but could it possible be a motherboard fault?
Did you modify and hardware or anything before this happened?
If you do replace the processor, make sure you research about thermal interface if you don't already know
