I have a problem with my CD/DVD drive.
Whenever I load a CD or DVD in the tray it spins up and goes no further. When I explore the drive I get the message "Please insert a disk into Drive G" even though there is a disk in the drive
I have uninstalled and re-installed the driver
I have looked at the registry and there are no upper or lower filters listed against the CD Rom
I have swapped the CD driver with a working one from another laptop but still get the same error
I am stumped!! Can anyone suggest where to look

kind regards,
Hi Friends,
Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or not recognized by Windows or other programs, so you cannot play or access a CD or DVD. This issue might have occurred after you installed, uninstalled, or updated a program.
Thanks,
James
