my dvd is not recognizing dvds that i have backed up data on and dont know whether it is the dvd drive or vista. It keep saying the disc is blank even though it isnt and cant access any of the files on the disc

Are these files copied onto the dvd using this dvd drive or files copied onto the dvd using another drive or PC?

An additional thought. Can you see the files using another PC?
