Not sure if this is the right place to ask my question but here goes:-

My Acer Aspire Notebook has been freezing after about 10 or so minutes of being used - it freezes completely and I have to press and hold the power button to switch it off.

I had the bios updated recently by Acer under warranty as I was having problems with the power and now I seem to have this new freezing problem.

I have tried to do a virus scan but can't complete it as it keeps freezing and also tried doing a scan from the command prompt to check that all windows files are intact and in their original versions.

Any ideas why this keeps happening and what I can do to fix it??

Most basic issue would be overheating.

Do you notice a distinct heat issue if you actually use it on your lap?

If it is still under warranty calling Acer again might be a good option.
