the green piece of rubber that surrounds my headphone jack recently broke off of my laptop that I use at school and now i can't get my computer to read that I have headphones in, I can get sound if i rig my headphones so that the jack is at an angle, but then i only get sound in my left ear. Any suggestions?

Hi and sorry you have that problem with your phone jack.

I am afraid you will have to have it repaired at the closest IT shop which is a pain I know, but we cannot help you here with hands on repairs. If they have the part, they will most likely do it while you wait if you tell them it is very urgent.
