Oops I broke my computer.

    Oops I broke my computer.

I broke my computer today by knocking it flat on it's side. The hard drive fell onto the desk quite hard, this has happened a few times, about 3 or so. This time however the computerwill not turn on, if I boot it up the monitor will not display anything and sometimes the computer will turn off again in about 2-3 seconds. I'm not sure exactly what to do or if this is even the right place to ask. Currently I'm in an internet cafe and I urge people to respond ASAP.

Since this has happened before maybe it's a loose screw? But I don't think so.
I don't know what the other reason could be, when I knocked it over the monitor went blank and showed an orange light instead of the green one and pushing a button on the monitor brings up the image that it's in power savings mode, so I manually shut off the computer and attempted a reboot and this brings me to my current situation, I am under the impression the monitor is working just fine. It's the hard drive seems to be completely at fault , which is why I'm asking you. Any help at all, any suggestion even if you can only refer me elsewhere, will be fine.

Edit: YES I checked to see if it was connected properly.

Shut down and remove the power connector.

Take the side off the machine, touch the case and another metal object to eliminate static and make sure that the memory and graphics card are fully seated.

Also make sure the cables to the hard drive are secure and on the board.

I checked this, I'll check again but I'm at a café and I only have 17 minutes left, any other sugesstions? Ofc I intend to check this again tomorrow. Check the thread I mean (edit)

It's very difficult for me because I do not see a single problem with the computer or the monitor, at all but I guess that's it for my time today. Maybe tomorrow someone can help me.

Riskbreaker this has all the signs of a dislodged GPU.

It may be better to put your machine in a more safer area also.

I am back however my computer still does not work. I have tried reseating everything in the unit, nothing seems out of place however my brother's computer does seem to have an extra component, some little black thing. I just don't understand what the problem is, how to properly reseat.

I have no idea what you mean by a little black thing.

Reseating means fully extracting the card and re-inserting it making sure it's fully pushed into the slot.

As I said earlier make sure all cables/power supplies to the hard drive are fully inserted.

Make sure the hard drive is secure in the bay.

I don't know what the items you name look like and I am currently attempting to reseat every item. Ofc that is easier said than done.

I am done. I'm just pressing stuff. I found something slightly out of place, a wire connector, connecting lots of red/black/yellows wires to a big grey box. That's the only thing out of place.
