I have one of these 'life proof' Lacie Rugged XL hard disks. It is new and has only sat on my desk. It has been fine up till when I restarted my xp computer the other day, whereupon it stopped being recognised at all by usb, not in device manager or even BIOS. It is completely accessible on other computers.

Asked and being worked at Geekstogo. Please do not shotgun post the same question on multiple forums at the same time. Volunteer resources are limited and tying them up on multiple sites is not good forum etiquette. If one site is unable help, request the post be closed there, and then post at another site, and include what was tried to resolve the problem. In addition to tying up volunteer resources, confusion can result when possible resolutions are tried here and there, with unexpected results.
